Mirko is a prominent chef and media personality based in Frankfurt. He has his own cookery school, is the author of many cookbooks and has his own TV show "Koch Undercover" for German TV channel SAT1.
He is also a regular contributor in Gourmet Reise and in 2014 will publish his latest book "The tourist Mirko Reeh", describing his experiences from his travels - including his time in New Zealand.
During a six day trip around Auckland, Rotorua and Queenstown, Mirko met and cooked with famous New Zealand chefs and visited award winning wineries. While here he met with Meredith's chef Michael Meredith in Auckland, innovative cook Charles Royal in Rotorua, and dined at Rata in Queenstown.
He also got to experience some of the well-known activities along the way - flying by helicopter to White Island, and then through trees at Eco Zip Adventures on Waiheke before a 4WD adventure with Nomad Safaris in Queenstown.
